Hi everyone, so recently I have seen a lot of people asking me how they can make money online in Ghana. There are so many ways you can make money online today, but personally, I have started making some money through something called vibe coding.
If you have been following me for some time, you may know that I used to be heavily into blogging. That was actually how I started my online journey. But things have changed a lot because of AI, and I had to start looking for other ways to make money online.
This is my personal story and experience, so take note. I am not here to tell you that I am making thousands of dollars from vibe coding. Personally, I have only made a few cedis from it so far. But I believe there is a very big opportunity here, especially for people in Ghana who are looking for online jobs.
Basically, vibe coding is a way of building software with the help of Artificial Intelligence. Instead of writing every single line of code yourself, you explain what you want to build to an AI tool and it helps you generate the code.
For someone like me who is not a professional software developer, this opened my eyes to a whole new opportunity.
Since I started learning vibe coding, I have been using AI to develop different things. I have worked on websites, software, mobile applications, databases and other small projects.
The interesting thing is that you don't necessarily need to be an expert programmer before you can start. Of course, you still need to understand what you are doing because AI can make mistakes. You need to know how to give proper instructions, check the code and fix problems when they come.
AI can help you build something, but you cannot just copy whatever AI gives you and expect everything to work perfectly.
Sometimes the application will work today and tomorrow you will see an error you don't understand. 😂
That is why I still encourage people to learn the basics of coding and technology while using AI to make the work easier.
As I mentioned earlier, I have only made a few cedis from vibe coding so far. I am still building my experience and looking for more opportunities.
But there are different ways someone can make money with this skill.
For example, you can build websites for small businesses. A lot of businesses in Ghana still need websites, online forms, booking systems and other simple digital solutions.
You can also build mobile applications for people who have ideas but don't know how to turn those ideas into working apps.
Another opportunity is building simple software for businesses. Some businesses need systems for managing customers, recording sales, managing stock and doing other daily activities.
You can also work with people outside Ghana through freelancing platforms and social media. You don't necessarily have to sit in an office before you can use this skill to make money.
Ghana is becoming more digital every day.
Businesses are moving online; people are using mobile applications for almost everything and companies are looking for ways to automate some of their work.
The problem is that many people have ideas but don't have the technical knowledge to build them. That is where vibe coding can come in.
Imagine someone has an idea for an app but cannot code. Instead of the idea remaining in their head, they can learn how to use AI tools to build a working version.
Personally, this is what attracted me to vibe coding.
It has given me the opportunity to build things that I probably would not have been able to build some years ago.
You don't need to be a computer science graduate before you start. But I will also not tell you that it is extremely easy.
You need patience.
You will make mistakes. Your code will break. Your AI will sometimes give you a solution that doesn't work. You will probably spend hours trying to fix one small problem. 😂
But that is part of the learning process. I am still learning myself, and every project teaches me something new.
For me, the biggest advantage is that AI has reduced the barrier to entry. Someone who has an idea and is willing to learn can now start experimenting with software development without spending years learning every programming language before building something useful.
Like I said earlier, I have only made a few cedis from vibe coding so far.
My main goal with this blog is not only to tell you that I am making money online. I also want to share what I am learning so that someone else can use the knowledge to get an opportunity.
Maybe you can build a website for a business owner. Maybe you can create an app for someone. Maybe you can get a freelance job. Maybe you can build your own software and turn it into a business.
There are many possibilities.
Personally, I am still exploring this space and I will continue sharing my experience as I go along.

Don't just sit down and wait for a job.
Learn a skill, build something and look for opportunities.
